New Study In 1 John

Greetings to everyone! I know that many have been sick and under the weather, but spring is around the corner. I will be so happy when we are able to all be together again to worship and praise our good God. Rene' and I are feeling better and appreciate all your prayers.

I have been praying and seeking God's direction concerning preaching His Word. I feel that He is leading us to study the book of 1 John. Just the preparation to begin preaching has been very exciting for me.

John gives us the purpose of the book in 1 John 1:4 "And these things we write to you that your joy may be full." Joy seems to be lacking in the world right now. The winter "blahs" have taken over. We need a spring awakening and a fresh encounter with Jesus Christ. As believers we have fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ! What joy there is in Christ! And when we have God as our Father we have a lot of brothers and sisters as well. We share in fellowship together.

Take some time this week to read through 1 John, its only 5 chapters. I look forward to this Sunday as we begin our study. God bless. I love you all
